Google Improving Mobile Search Results

Google announced in a blog post dated February 26, 2015 that they making two important changes to help users discover more mobile friendly content.

Additionally, they are on record stating “starting April 21, we (Google) will be expanding our use of mobile friendliness as a ranking signal.  This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have “significant impact” on our search results.”

It s quite clear from reading their document titled “Google Search Engine Optimization Starter Guide” that responsive sites “May” not be affected “if” there are configured correctly.  However, it is clear that their algorithms will favor redirect to a mobile site.  They now have mobile bots and will index mobile sites to enhance the quality of search results.

Therefore, if you have a website you need to have a mobile site built to assure high rankings or to prevent your current rankings from falling.
